- All organisms need energy to live.
- Energy is obtained from food.
- In nature, the food chains are highly cross-linked and complicated.
- Most living things belong to more than one food chain.
What is a food web?
A food web is a natural interconnection of food chains.
What is a predator?
A predator is an animal that captures. kills and eats an animal of another species.
What is a prey?
A pray is an animal that is eaten by a predator.
What are scavengers?
Scavengers eat dead plants and animals that other living things kill.
Examples: Vultures, hyenas, worms, crows, ants, etc.
