How to use "Used to" ?

• We use used to to talk about habits or repeated past actions.

     I used to get up at 8.00 a.m. every day but now I don't.

• We also use used to to talk about past events.

      My dad used to have long hair, but now it´s short.

• Used to always mean that the actions do not occur in the present or that the states no longer exist.

       He used to bite his nails when he was a child.
