UNIT 5. STATES OF MATTER

Review the concepts of Mass and Volume in the next video. Spanish version.
States of Matter
Copy in your notebook.
Mass is always found in 3 different states in our Universe.
Solid: ice, rocks, bread, table, wood, gold, etc.
Liquid: water, juice, milk, coffee, gasoline, etc.
Gas: oxygen, water vapour, carbon dioxide, helium, etc.

Matter is made up of tiny particles called atoms.
Attoms usually join together in small groups called molecules.
When the temperature of matter decreases or increases, the atoms move closer together or further apart.
The states of matter can change by melting, evaporating, condensing, solidifying or freezing.

Watch the next video to understand states of matter and change of states.

Draw the next two diagrams in your notebook.
